Corey was fortunate enough to speak on an innovation panel at GameLab 2013, in Barcelona. He spoke on the importance of narrative in creating an emotional connection to new technology.

We’ll post the video of the panel when it’s available.

On the Panel (Left to Right): Benoit Auguin – Founder of Break-First, Chris James – Managing Director of Pocket Gamer, Paulina Bozek – Founder and CEO of Inensu, Volker Hirsch – Global Head of Games Business Development at BlackBerry, Trevor Klein – Head of Development at Somethin’ Else, our own Corey King, and Wilhelm Taht – COO at Playground Publishing.

Panel from Corey’s POV

A view of the audience

We had many meetings at GameLab spanning both the worlds largest publishers and indie developers. Generally we have no pictures of these meetings because it is really an awkward thing to do when first meeting people, however GameLab captured this meeting for us.

Corey demos the Clandestine: Anomaly prototype.

We met a lot of great people at GameLab, and the interest in our game was palpable. When introduced on the panel the game was referred to as “The most ambitious Augmented Reality game ever attempted”. We feel grateful for the interest in our innovative vision for Clandestine: Anomaly.

Now back to the task at hand – creating the game.
